Fox Hopyard has been voted #1 Public Golf Course for the second year in a row by CT Magazine readers. Fox Hopyard is listed as one of the most challenging and scenic courses in all of Connecticut.
Fox Hopyard offers the privacy, comfort and service of an exclusive private club without the restriction of membership. The 18 hole, par 71 course, designed by renowned course designer Roger Rulewich, features 530 acres of rolling hills, forest, brooks, ponds, wetlands, rock outcroppings and stone walls. Each hole offers unique terrain and challenges to create a fresh experience no matter how many times golfers have played the course.
Ron Beck, Head Golf Professional states, “Out of 89 public access courses in the state, to be awarded this distinction two years running by the readers of CT Magazine is a real honor.”
Beck goes on to explain that it is the Fox Hopyard Golf Club team that makes the real difference. From the Golf Shop staff, the grounds crew to the restaurant group, it is everyone working together that sets them apart and makes golfing the fox such a pleasant experience.
“We want everyone to feel at home when they arrive. An award such as this solidifies that we are doing our job and people are taking notice.”
Fox Hopyard is located in East Haddam, CT and offers a rural setting only minutes from Connecticut’s biggest attractions. From the Clubhouse and On the Rocks restaurant with commanding views overlooking the 9th, 15th and 18th holes, Fox Hopyard has everything you need for a fun yet relaxing day of golf.
